Queen City Cooper Events / February 1, 2025 QCC Motor-In 2:00-4:00 PM
« Last post by Dale Ballinger about January 19, 2025, 01:51:42 PM »

Hello QCC members,

I hope you have dug out from the snow and are ready for more cold weather.  We are having our first Motor-In of 2025 on Saturday, February 1 at Cincy Mini.  This is our annual planning session.  We will have a brief e-board meeting at 2:00 PM followed by a pizza party at 2:10, and then social time. Bring your own drinks, please to make it easier for all.  I may test your brain with a short trivia contest at 2:50.   Wear your name tag or come by and order one if you need to.  Karen redesigned them last year and you can even pick out your colors.

At 3:00 we will start the Motor-In with some planning for an exciting 2025 driving year as the main topic.  We are in desperate need of a new Event Coordinator. Look in the mirror and if you see yourself with ideas and are willing to HELP lead us forward, now is the time for you to come to the aid of the QCC.

The past several years we have struggled by with various volunteers arranging drives. Sometimes we give them a $25 gas gift card for their efforts.  The real thanks is in knowing as one of the volunteers, you got the wheels rolling.  If six members do one drive, or three do a couple trips, then we are covered.  Envision, plan, pre-drive, promote, lead, and write it up!  We have radios and can follow you anywhere.   Any questions just ask.  Hope to see you at 6131 Stewart Road #2, Cincinnati, OH 45227  at 2:00 PM 2/1/25.
Thanks, President Dale

PS: Please register on the web site so we know how much pizza to order.  I will also send an email to you and you can reply back to me. So let us know either way if you can attend.  This year we want to infuse some excitement into the club. If you have trouble with the web site, text me if you want to attend 859-818-4785.

Hello, We will have a casual drive which ends at a winery. Sound good?  Saturday 10/26/24 rain or shine. Likely to see many beautiful autumn trees in various colors, too.  Seven Mile Winery is a family-owned winery in the heart of Butler County, Ohio. We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful 2,500 square foot rustic barn as the perfect venue to enjoy our growing selection of wine varieties.

Join us for a fall drive through some back roads of Butler County to visit a local winery. We will meet up at the parking lot of MidPointe Library West Chester, located at 9363 Centre Point Drive West Chester, OH 45069 at 2:15 p.m.  After a short drivers meeting, we will depart the parking at 2:30 p.m. We will be visiting Seven Mile Winery, located at 3526 Somerville Jacksonburg Road Middletown, OH 45042.  If you’d like to learn more about this winery, visit their website: https://sevenmilewinery.com/

Please register for this event on the QCC website. Hope you can join us for an afternoon of fun.  Mary and Matt Hopton are hosting it. We are inviting the Cincy Miata Club, too.          Thanks, President Dale

I missed this thread and posted over in the general section but Herschel, I remember you from MTR66!

From the other thread... JJust curious is anyone was going out to do MTTS 2024. I will be heading out on Monday, July 8th toward ABQ, meeting up with another Mini  on the way coming from northern Ohio and we will do a slight detour to run up Pikes Peak (what is a couple extra hundred miles on a trip like this, right?!). There is a group of us who met doing MTR66 last year (7-11 Motoring Group) who will be doing the run to SEA with a minor deviation of skipping SLC to run through the Tetons and YNP to drive the Beartooth Highway on the way to Bozeman. The 7-11 tag comes from the radio channel we use. I know I have not been active in local events as almost every weekend is booked for me (kids, have a hobby farm, etc.) but if anyone is going, feel free to reach out (cm@cognero.com), I'd love to meet you out there or on the way! I will say, having a Mini has led me to meeting a great group of friends from all over the country!
